Peter Hopper

I was born in Peterborough in 1954 and moved to Bedfordshire in 1968. I have drawn and painted since childhood and have developed a deep interest in the History of Art. In latter years, I have exhibited and sold my work across the region, including The Royal Institute of Oil Painters, London.
For some years I have combined working part-time for a specialist Milliner, with studying Fine Art at Barnfield College, Luton.
My work explores both urban and rural landscape and I have recently been drawn to the North Norfolk coastal resorts and seascapes. I enjoy using colour and patterns in my compositions considering the nature of landscape, seascapes and architecture.
